The following warranty policy applies to all products on StacksKB, unless stated otherwise:

General Exclusions for all products:

The following exclusions apply regardless of the item being sold, notwithstanding any brand or item-specific warranty policies.

  • Dead on arrival claims and claims for missing parts will be entertained only within the first seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please test your products immediately upon receiving them.
  • Physical modification of any product or component present in a product in any irreversible manner. For Pre-finished items, such as keyboards and mice, any modification involving disassembly, regardless of its reversibility, is excluded from warranty.
  • Physical damage to the items due to improper use of the product, whether accidental or intentional. If something doesn’t fit, do not attempt to force it in.
  • Unauthorised/third party repair attempts are not covered under any kind of warranty.
  • For products containing a serial number or other identification marks, the alteration, relocation, removal, falsification, defacement or any other damage or modification to such marks will void the warranty.
  • Cosmetic changes caused by general use, ageing and other associated wear and tear.
  • Claims of transit damage/goods being damaged on arrival will only be entertained if a continuous clear high resolution unboxing video showing the damage is provided.
  • Claims of missing items will only be entertained if a continuous clear high resolution unboxing video showing the items received is provided.

Keyboard Switches

All switches come with a warranty against manufacturing defects, subject to the following exclusions

  • Switches that have been opened for any reason, including lubrication and application of switch films are excluded from warranty.
  • Switches that have been subject to excessive force including while inserting into the mounting apparatus (including but not limited to a plate).
  • Breakage due to application of keycaps is excluded from warranty. If a keycap doesn’t fit the switch, please don’t force it in. Otherwise you are liable to breaking either the keycap or the switch.
  • Bent pins are normal and not a manufacturing defect. Please straighten them gently.
  • Variation in the feel of the switches due to manufacturing tolerances. This includes, but is not limited to, spring weight, variation in factory lubrication consistency. All of this is to be expected, and not covered by warranty.
  • Switch sounds including but not limited to “pings” and “rattles” are not covered by warranty.
  • Switches that have been soldered are not covered by warranty.
  • Switches that have been modified in any way from their stock form are not covered by warranty.
  • Warranty doesn’t cover switches that have been damaged due to misuse, user error, or negligence, whether intentional or otherwise. Including but not limited to liquid spills, breakage due to excessive force/attempts to open, fall damage, excess electrical power etc.
  • Wear and tear associated with general use is excluded from warranty. This includes, but is not limited to discoloration of the plastic, scratches to the bodywork, plastic developing shine, changes in push feel etc.

Warranty claims will be entertained only within 7 days from receipt of the package.

Printed Circuit Boards

All PCBs come with a warranty against manufacturing defects, subject to the following exclusions

  • PCBs that have been soldered are not covered by warranty. We get them tested at the factory before we receive them, but please test them before soldering.
  • PCBs that have been modified in any way from their stock form are not covered by warranty.
  • Loose hotswap sockets and USB ports are excluded from warranty.
  • Warranty doesn’t cover PCBs that have been damaged due to misuse, user error, or negligence whether intentional or otherwise. Including but not limited to liquid spills, breakage due to excessive force/attempts to open, fall damage, excess electrical power etc.

Warranty claims will be entertained only within seven (7) days of receipt of the package.

Lubricants

Lubricants come with no warranty of any kind. We guarantee that the products that we sell are authentic and genuine, and sourced from the official sales channels of the product’s manufacturers.

Accessories

All accessories come with a warranty against manufacturing defects or initial failure. The following are not covered under warranty:

  • Deformation, warping, discoloration/fading with use over time.
  • Normal wear and tear such as scratches, deformation.
  • Any other terms explicitly mentioned in the product pages.
  • Breakage of any kind.

Warranty claims will only be entertained within seven (7) days of receipt of the package.

Pre-built Keyboards

All pre-built keyboards come with a limited 1 year warranty, unless stated otherwise.

  • Keyboards that have been opened or modified for any reason, including but not limited to lubrication of switches, foam modding, and application of switch films are excluded from warranty.
  • Breakage of switches due to application of keycaps is excluded from warranty. If a keycap doesn’t fit the switch, please don’t force it in. Otherwise you are liable to breaking either the keycap or the switch.
  • Variation in the feel of the keyboard switches due to tolerance variations including, but not limited to, spring weight or factory lubrication is to be expected, and not covered by warranty.
  • Sounds including but not limited to “pings” and “rattles” are not covered by warranty.
  • Warranty doesn’t cover keyboards that have been damaged due to misuse, user error, or negligence whether intentional or otherwise. Including but not limited to liquid spills, breakage due to excessive force, fall damage, excess electrical power etc.
  • Wear and tear associated with general use is excluded from warranty. This includes, but is not limited to discoloration of the plastic, scratches to the bodywork, plastic developing shine, USB port becoming loose, damage to the USB cable, hotswap sockets becoming loose etc.
  • Any unauthorized or third party repairs/attempts at repair will void the warranty on your product.

Other Items

Any items outside of the categories above come with no warranties, express or implied, unless stated otherwise.

Domestic Warranty Claims

To claim a warranty for a product within India you must present us either an order copy or an invoice along with images and/or description of the defect, as appropriate.

To ensure that the claim is processed smoothly, please contact us using the email used to make the purchase.

If the claim is found to be valid, we shall arrange for a pick up of the product and process the repair or replacement as appropriate.

International Warranty Claims

To claim a warranty or a product outside India you must present us either an order copy or an invoice along with images and/or description of the defect, as appropriate.

To ensure that the claim is processed smoothly, please contact us using the email used to make the purchase.

If the claim is found to be valid, we shall ask you to ship the product to us, at your own expense, where we will proceed with the repair or replacement as appropriate. You will also be liable for any customs duties applicable on re-import to India, and the shipping fees and destination customs duties for re-export to you.

Transfer of Warranty

We allow the warranty of the items to be transferred only within the first three (3) months of shipment from StacksKB. To transfer the warranty of a product, the purchaser must notify us to whom the warranty is being transferred to with the following details:

  • Order ID and Invoice Number
  • Warranty recipients name
  • Warranty recipients email
  • Warranty recipients phone number

If the purchaser transfers the warranty, the purchaser will no longer be eligible to claim warranty on the products he has transferred the warranty for.

Warranties may only be transferred after the items have been received by the original purchaser. Warranty period begins as soon as the original purchaser receives the item, and will not be extended further upon transferring the warranty.

N.B.: For items with transferred warranties, StacksKB will not entertain any claims for damaged goods or missing parts or any dead on arrival (DOA) claims. Further, the warranty exclusions mentioned earlier apply regardless of whether purchaser or the warranty recipient causes the warranty to be voided.
